§ I · What WellRX Is

Every well is telling you what's wrong. WellRX hears every signal — live or historical — diagnoses, and writes the Rx.

Most gas-well operators look at their production through a spreadsheet — SCADA in one tab, FSR logs in another, gauge sheets on paper, delivery tickets in email, alarms in a dashboard nobody refreshes. Thresholds fire, the field gets busy, and production slips a few percent a month until someone loses a well.

WellRX wires into whatever data you've already got — SCADA (zdSCADA live today, generic adapters for the rest), historian exports, FSR records, gauge sheets, photos from the field — and runs every well through a virtual AI petroleum engineer, a virtual AI production engineer, and a virtual AI chemist working in concert every morning. The result lands as a specific, ROI-scored action on the right person's desk before coffee.

+
Need more engineers on the team? Add them. WellRX virtual AI agents are modular — bolt on a virtual reservoir engineer, midstream analyst, HSE specialist, regulatory analyst, allocation accountant, or a fully custom-trained agent steeped in your own historical data. Each new agent plugs into the same pipeline and contributes to the same next-morning Rx. Your data surface decides who's reading it — not us.

If the role benefits from data, WellRX builds their Rx.

Any position inside your company whose performance moves with the quality or timing of operational data — production, chemistry, maintenance, engineering, finance, midstream, ops management, executive — can have a report tailored to exactly what they need, against both your historical records and your live feeds. One pipeline underneath · purpose-built outputs per role · measurable lift on whatever KPI that role is judged by. We deliver the data to the person who can act on it, in the form they'll actually read.

§ II · The Cost of a Missed Signal

What gets overlooked when a human is reading the data alone.

Data lives in silos, alerts fire out of context, and a small miss compounds fast. These are real patterns from one sample engagement — each was already costing the operator money for days or weeks before WellRX surfaced it. Dollar figures are grounded in observed MCF deltas at current gas prices ($4.20/MCF), not projections.

Gathering event masked as separate well declines

A cluster of meters on one CTB network showed simultaneous 150–400% static-pressure creep over 5–7 days. To a field team reading well-by-well: several wells each losing a little, probably decline. To WellRX's virtual AI trio: one midstream bottleneck, one fix. Chemistry and lift money spent on individual wells was actively wasted while the real upstream problem sat invisible.

Recoverable · one fix~$17,000/mo

Liquid loading misread as reservoir decline

DP rising while MCF flattens is a textbook load-up — a $2/day soap-stick campaign fixes it. Misread as a dying well: the operator schedules a $10–40k plunger install, a velocity-string swap, or begins decom planning. WellRX flags the divergence within 24 hours of onset, before anyone reaches for the AFE pad.

Capex avoided per well$10k–$40k

Live-but-dark RTU hiding real production

Several wells went quiet mid-window while still producing 40–130 MCF/D. A busy field team reads "offline = maybe decommissioned" and moves on. WellRX separates dark-but-producing from truly offline on day one. A handful of $300 truck rolls recover full revenue visibility and ~$33k/mo of gas that was invisible to the dashboard.

Exposure · $/mo invisible~$33,000

Paraffin diagnosed as plunger problem

Temp floor drops below 52°F with intermittent DP pulses. To a human scanning the dashboard: "plunger's not cycling right — call the AL vendor." To a virtual AI chemist reading the thermal signature: paraffin dropout. A $400/mo continuous inhibitor fixes it; a $10k plunger swap doesn't. Catching the right cause on day one avoids a wasted workover.

Per-well capex saved$10k+
The pattern. What a human overlooks or misreads costs $500–$40,000+ per incident. WellRX runs these checks every morning on every well without exception — the signal never sits unexamined, the diagnosis never waits on a busy inbox. One avoided misdiagnosis per quarter typically pays the annual WellRX engagement several times over.
§ III · How It Plugs In

§ V · Integration & Delivery

Where WellRX runs and how your team receives it.

SCADA systems
Live zdSCADA (OAuth2, daily + lp + sv + g + ev + config channels)   Adapter Any SCADA with a REST / SFTP / JDBC feed — add a driver, everything downstream is unchanged.
Ingestion cadence
Full daily pull at 05:45 local; hourly spot-value snapshot for live alarms; weekly config/gas-composition refresh.
Diagnosis engine
Petroleum-engineering rules (Coleman critical-velocity loading, decline-curve detection, FT / BF / temp anomaly scoring, CUSUM for gathering events). Human-readable output.
Delivery channels
Email. Branded sender of your choice, PDF attachments per recipient role, xlsx route logs where applicable. Operators save the PDFs to SharePoint / OneDrive / shared drives — the email is the deliverable and the archive in one step.
Recipient profiles
Every recipient has a role (vendor, pumper, engineer, executive), a well scope, a delivery channel, and a custom report template. One SCADA feed, multiple tailored outputs — each with its own diagnosis and Rx per role. Three tailored-report users are included in the base subscription; additional users at a small flat per-user / month fee.
Data security
Single-tenant credentials held in the operator's keychain; auth worker runs on-prem or in your cloud. No raw telemetry leaves the boundary you control.
§ VI · The Fine Print

Deployment, pricing, advisory scope, and who's behind the Rx.

Deployment
1–3 days from data handshake to first Rx in inbox. Auth worker stood up, adapter configured, well-name reconciliation against your SCADA device IDs, recipients onboarded, and the first portfolio diagnostic + prior-quarter retrospective delivered to your executive contact within hours of going live. We don't touch your SCADA config; we read what you already have.
Who can buy

Operator-wide engagement. WellRX is sold to the operator. The company onboards once, every covered well gets reviewed by the virtual AI petroleum, production & chemical engineering team every morning, and tailored Rx is delivered to the recipients you specify — pumpers, foremen, production engineers, vendor reps, executive. One integration, multiple tailored outputs, one bill.

Pricing model

Quote & bid against three dimensions.

① Per-well subscription on the wells we can pull live data on — offline / unreachable wells are not billed. Tiered curve from $40–$75 per live well per month based on portfolio size.

② Tailored-report users — 3 recipients included in the base subscription. Additional users at a small flat per-user / month fee.

③ Supplemental AI agents — the base petroleum, production & chemical engineering trio is included. Specialist agents (reservoir, midstream, HSE, regulatory, allocation, custom-trained) are priced per-agent to cover incremental model-API consumption.

Setup is one-time and tiered by total portfolio size, bundled with a portfolio diagnostic and prior-quarter retrospective delivered at kickoff so you see the math before any monthly subscription begins. Month-to-month, no long-term contract — 30-day notice to cancel.

Charter partner concessions — first cohort operators get setup waived in full plus 50% off the first three months. apply at /beta.

Who's behind it
Chris Rowan — CRO · Production Chemical Consultant. 20+ years across chemical programs, pumper operations, and production diagnostics in East Texas gas. Based in Longview, TX — available for local meetups.

Daniel Gillaspy — CEO, Developer & Drilling Consultant. 24 years of drilling experience, with consulting engagements that include Apache, BP, and ExxonMobil — covering Drilling / SimOps operations as well as field execution across multiple basins in ETX, STX, PA, LA & OK. Based in OKC — available for local meetups.

The WellRX engine is a proprietary AI team — petroleum engineer + production engineer + chemist — working in concert against your live data. Built by two operators who've been making these calls by hand for decades, so the right answer lands in under an hour instead of under a workweek. And the team never drifts: the AI retrains itself every week against the latest industry publications, field studies, service-company technical bulletins, and evolving practice — so the Rx on your desk tomorrow reflects what the industry learned this week, not what was true the day we shipped.
What we don't do
We don't run your SCADA. We don't replace your pumpers, your chemists, or your engineers. WellRX is a remote, digital-only service — we don't travel to your offices or field locations and we don't physically handle any of your equipment. Both Daniel and Chris are available for local meetups in their respective home cities — Longview, TX and Oklahoma City — for prospects in those areas.
Advisory scope
Every WellRX diagnosis, suggestion, and prescription is a field-engineering opinion based on the data streams you authorize us to read — not a directive. Your engineering, operations, and safety teams must review every recommendation before execution, including chemical compatibility, SDS & PPE compliance, regulatory and environmental fit, and operational safety. WellRX produces the Rx; your team reviews and signs the script and owns the call. Neither the WellRX team nor its virtual AI agents are liable for losses, damages, or incidents arising from acting on any recommendation — your team is to review all suggestions and sign off on them accordingly.
§ VII · Common Questions

Questions operators ask before signing on.

How is WellRX different from the alerts in my SCADA?
SCADA alerts tell you a threshold was crossed. WellRX tells you why, what it means for the well, and what to do — across production ops, artificial lift, chemical program, and wellbore — in the same report. An alert fires when tubing pressure exceeds your set point; WellRX reads the thermal floor, DP trend, and recent FSR together and writes "liquid loading, soap stick or plunger cycle adjustment." It's the difference between a smoke detector and a production engineer who reviewed every well overnight.
What if I only have CSV exports and no live API?
A CSV or Excel export from your historian is enough to run a full diagnostic. We routinely generate a sample portfolio diagnostic from your historical data at no commitment — so you see exactly what WellRX surfaces on your own wells before you decide. A live SCADA API connection unlocks daily automated delivery; CSV mode covers the evaluation period and can be automated via SFTP drop.
Can my chemical vendor receive the Rx directly?
Yes — vendor is one of the standard recipient roles. Your chemical vendor gets a role-specific chemistry Rx: which wells have a flagged chemical issue, what the data shows, and the recommended program adjustment. The same underlying diagnostic drives the pumper's field card, the engineer's technical write-up, and the vendor's Rx. You configure which contacts get which role profile during onboarding — no extra setup for the vendor.
What happens to offline or unreachable wells?
Offline and unreachable wells are not billed. If a well drops off your SCADA feed, WellRX flags it in the next morning's report and removes it from the active-well count for that billing period. When it comes back online it's automatically re-included. You only pay for wells we can actually read.
What SCADA systems does WellRX support?
Currently integrated with zdSCADA and any system that exposes a standard REST or OData API. Historian CSV/Excel exports work for evaluation and can be automated. Additional integrations are confirmed during onboarding — if you tell us your platform we'll verify compatibility before you commit. We don't require changes to your SCADA configuration; we read what you already have.
Is my well data kept confidential?
Yes. WellRX operates on operator-held credentials in a single-tenant deployment — your telemetry stays within the boundary you control and is never commingled with another operator's data. No raw SCADA data leaves your environment; WellRX reads it, writes the Rx, and discards the raw feed. Email delivery uses a sender address you authorize. SOC 2 Type II is on the roadmap.

Want a diagnostic run against your data?

SCADA, historian exports, FSR logs, deliveries, gauge sheets, CSVs, or a live API — if you can point us at a historical file or a live stream, we can diagnose it. We'll produce a sample portfolio diagnostic from your data — no commitment — so you can see what WellRX surfaces before you decide.
